अनुच्छेद 248. अवशिष्ट विधायी शक्तियाँ—
(1) 1[अनुच्छेद 246क के अधीन रहते हुए, संसद्] को किसी ऐसे विषय के संबंध में, जो समवर्ती सूची या राज्य सूची में प्रगणित नहीं है, विधि बनाने की अनन्य शक्ति है।
(2) ऐसी शक्ति के अंतर्गत ऐसे कर के अधिरोपण के लिए जो उन सूचियों में से किसी में वर्णित नहीं है, विधि बनाने की शक्ति है।

Article 248. Residuary powers of legislation—
(1) 1[Subject to article 246A, Parliament] has exclusive power to make any law with respect to any matter not enumerated in the Concurrent List or State List.
(2) Such power shall include the power of making any law imposing a tax not mentioned in either of those Lists.
