अनुच्छेद 318. आयोग के सदस्यों और कर्मचारिवृंद की सेवा की शर्तों के बारे में विनियम बनाने की शक्ति— संघ आयोग या संयुक्त आयोग की दशा में राष्ट्रपति और राज्य आयोग की दशा में उस राज्य का राज्यपाल 1[***] विनियमों द्वारा—
(क) आयोग के सदस्यों की संख्या और उनकी सेवा की शर्तों का अवधारण कर सकेगा; और
(ख) आयोग के कर्मचारिवृंद के सदस्यों की संख्या और उनकी सेवा की शर्तों के संबंध में उपबंध कर सकेगाः
परंतु लोक सेवा आयोग के सदस्य की सेवा की शर्तों में उसकी नियुक्ति के पश्चात् उसके लिए अलाभकारी परिवर्तन नहीं किया जाएगा।

Article 318. Power to make regulations as to conditions of service of members and staff of the Commission— In the case of the Union Commission or a Joint Commission, the President and, in the case of a State Commission, the Governor 1[***] of the State may by regulations—
(a) determine the number of members of the Commission and their conditions of service; and
(b) make provision with respect to the number of members of the staff of the Commission and their conditions of service:
Provided that the conditions of service of a member of a Public Service Commission shall not be varied to his disadvantage after his appointment.
