The Buddhist Circuit

Introduction

In the state’s ‘First Tourism Policy’ promulgated in 1998, seven circuits were selected for the development of tourism. The “Buddhist Circuit” is one of these seven circuits.

Gautam Buddha spent a significant portion of his life in this region thousands of years ago. He attained enlightenment, traveled extensively, spread his teachings, and ultimately achieved mahaparinirvana there.

The circuit is adorned with magnificent Stupas, ancient monasteries, the soothing sounds of Buddhist chants, and a continuous flow of pilgrims and monks engaging in meditation and worship.

Nowhere else can a devotee experience Lord Buddha’s entire life in Uttar Pradesh quite like this. If you seek enlightenment, this Circuit is the ideal destination to visit.
