  • Ministry of Defence (MoD) released Technology Perspective and Capability Roadmap (TPCR) 2025 on 4 September 2025 → a 15-year blueprint for military preparedness.
  • Key highlights:
    • Plans to reinforce India’s nuclear deterrence and expand drone warfare capabilities.
    • Outlines future acquisitions such as nuclear command-and-control infrastructure, radiation detection tools, and mobile decontamination units.
    • Signals unmanned ground vehicles for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) reconnaissance.

  • Combined assets under management (AUM) of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) have exceeded ₹9 lakh crore over the past nine years.
  • AUM of InvITs and REITs currently stand at around ₹7 lakh crore and ₹2.25 lakh crore, respectively → combined AUM of both is expected to touch ₹25 lakh crore by 2030.
  • Currently, there are 7 SEBI-registered REITs and 27 SEBI-registered InvITs in India.
  • The first InvIT was registered in 2016, while the first REIT got listed in 2019.

26 European countries pledge to place troops in Ukraine


  • French President E. Macron has announced that 26 countries have promised to deploy troops in Ukraine once the Russia-Ukraine war ends.
  • Announcement came after a recent meeting of the so-called “coalition of the willing” in Paris.
  • Coalition of the Willing: comprises 30+ countries that share the common goal of providing Ukraine with security guarantees → predominantly European nations, but also include Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Canada.
