(a) The Soviet Union

(b) Australia

(c) Italy

(d) Canada

Jharkhand P.C.S. (Pre) 2003

Ans. (b)

Explanation – The concurrent list is borrowed from the constitution of Australia. In this list, those items are included on which both Union and State have right to make law. It is in the seventh schedule of the Constitution which originally included 47 item. (now increased to 52 items as Item No: 11A, 17A, 17 B, 20 A, 33A were added through amendments).

The Concurrent List in the Seventh Schedule, provisions regarding Trade, Commerce and Intercource, Finance Commission and parliamentary privileges were modelled presumably on the Australian Constitution.
