Explanation – The Constitutional Day of India is celebrated on 26th November since the new Constitution of India was adopted by the constituent Assembly on 26th November, 1949 and signed by President Rajendra Prasad.
Some of the provisions of the constitution came into force at once while the remaining provisions of the Constitution came into force on 26th January, 1950, the commencement date of the constitution.
